Concept
The basic premise of Ascension is a 2D top-scrolling space shooter, similar to Galaga, with some elements from Missile Command, requiring piloting of player's ship as well as manual aiming. Each successful shot helps to charge the player's power bar. Once the power bar is full, a special weapon can be used. The rate at which the power bar charges is directly dependent on the player's accuracy.
